Perry City Orchard and Nursery is located in a beautiful glacial valley surrounded by drumlins in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region of New York. Our deep glacial soils are ideal for fruit trees and deep roots. Our orchard contains over 70 varieties of heirloom and cider apple varieties and we continue to plant more. In our nursery we propagate many of those varieties along with others, both wild and cultivated, which we have sourced from friends and local apple growers and cider makers. Our growing practices recognize our trees as part of a larger ecosystem. We strive to continuously build our soils and our farm’s diversity as part of our multi-layered approach to pest and disease management. We have intentionally chosen to stay a small nursery so that we are able to focus on producing high quality trees that will thrive in their new home.
Perry City Orchard and Nursery is owned by Chris Negronida and Alexis Self. The nursery and orchard were started in 2016 and sprouted from our mutual love of the land, rare apple varieties and our desire to share our passion with others. Our nursery and orchard sit adjacent to our 200-year old home which embodies our desire to celebrate and preserve that which has been long forgotten. From this follows our love of old heirloom apples and cider.
