We have over 150 varieties of apples and perry pears available for custom orders or as scionwood for your own grafting endeavors. European cider varieties tend to be high in tannins (bittersweets or bittersharps) and although excellent for cider are generally not good for fresh eating. Many of those listed as rare and heirlooms or russets are also great for cider, and all are suitable and in many cases excellent for fresh eating . Disease resistant varieties are great for the organic and backyard grower. We are always expanding our offering of wild seedling varieties that have been found and vetted by us or other growers and cider makers in the Finger Lakes Region. Most of our wild seedling varieties are most suitable for cider, but some are also great for eating and baking.
